About Evangeline
“

CAT GOT YOUR TONGUE? I ALWAYS KNOW JUST WHAT TO SAY
”
I'm Evangeline. I'm a writer based in Adelaide, Australia.
Currently, I'm undertaking a national Cadetship with News Corp Australia which has seen me visit newsrooms and mastheads around the country, sharpening my teeth on a wide range of stories from breaking news to lifestyle pieces.
During my cadetship so far, I've worked extensively at The Advertiser, where I break news and write a weekly sex and relationship column, and Vogue Australia where I've write about all things fashion, beauty and culture.
I previously worked as an editorial assistant and writer for South Australian Style Magazine, as well as a freelance writer for publications such as Fashion Journal, Harper's BAZAAR, Refinery29, Channel Void, Sauce, Zee Feed, Fluff Cosmetics, A-Zine, and more. Feel like snooping? Find my recent work here.
I graduated from the University of Adelaide in December of 2021, with a triple bachelor degree in Law, Arts (Politics and International Relations) and Media (Journalism). There I worked as the university's Student Ambassador for Succeed@Adelaide. I was also the recipient of the university's Graduate Award for employability. During university I spent six months interning at the United Nations and achieved a New Columbo grant to study in India for a few weeks.
When I'm not writing, I'm usually scrolling TikTok, arguing about the literary merits of Anonymous' Diary of an Oxygen Thief or adding items I can't afford to my Net-A-Porter cart.
